Guinevere van Seenus – Numéro #114 June/July 2010

Magazine: Numéro #114 June/July 2010
Editorial: Le Dame du Lac (The Dame of the Lake)
Photographer: Jeff Burton
Model: Guinevere van Seenus (IMG)
Stylist: Franck Benhamou

Although many may not find the ghostly white skin beautiful these days especially with all the fake tanners available, I find pale skin to be very beautiful and pure and 32-year-old Guinevere van Seenus embodies that vision in an editorial entitled “Le Dame du Lac” or “The Dame of the Lake” for the 114th issue of Numéro for this June and July. Whimsically shot by photographer Jeff Burton by a dreamy lake, stylist Franck Benhamou dressed Guinevere in designs by the likes of Chanel, Versace, Herve Leger, Lanvin, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, and John Galliano.

Sex and the City 2 NYC Premiere

With the release this Friday, the 27th, Sex and the City 2 premiered in New York City this past Monday, the 24th, at the legendary Radio City Music Hall presented by Mercedes-Benz and Maybach.

I’ve always enjoyed the series and was sad when it ended, but the news of a movie was exciting. When the first Sex and the City movie came out in 2008, I thought it was a bit creepy because Samantha turned 50 and was still sleeping around, but I guess the message is that women can be strong, successful, and independent without needing to depend on a man.

Although I find the story lines a bit cheesy sometimes, I do enjoying seeing all the beautiful fashions exuding luxury and extravagance with Carrie’s style being my favorite. Here are some photos from the premiere:

Sarah Jessica Parker in Valentino Couture

Kristin Davis in Jean Dress

Kim Cattrall looks absolutely stunning in Naeem Khan.

Cynthia Nixon in Carolina Herrera

A Tribute to Alexander McQueen by Tyra Banks

Paying tribute to the legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen, 36-year-old America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks pays her respects by creating a shoot inspired my McQueen‘s latest designs with a guest appearance by American Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley.

About the tribute, Tyra said, “I wanted to do a photo shoot decked out in H2T McQueen. McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community. I feel like a queen whenever I wear his clothes (especially the stunning blue dress I wore for this shoot)!… I would like to think that he would have loved these photos.”
