Other than a fun and breezy outfit, a necessity for the summertime is definitely the perfect pair of sunglasses. From circles and flowers to pentagon and bug eyes, there is a wide variety of classic and wild shades to fit any personality. Here are some of my favorites from the runway this past fall:
Alana Zimmer (FORD, STORM, WOMEN) in ERDEM
Natasha Poly (WOMEN) in GILES
Lindsay Ellingson (DNA, VIVA, WHY NOT) in GUCCI

During fashion week this past fall, designers went scissors crazy for their spring/summer collections full of cutouts for those who are daring enough to show some skin for the summer. From sexy gold sequined bodysuits to ruffled dresses, designers from Michael Kors and Versace to Balmain and Marc Jacobs all mastered the cutouts trend for this season. Here are some of the sexy cutout looks:
Frankie Rayder (IMG) in ALEXANDER WANG
Anna Selezneva (SILENT) in BALMAIN
Dorothea Barth Jörgensen (ELITE, WOMEN) in BCBG MAX AZRIA

In designs by the likes of Alexander Wang, Roberto Cavalli, and Ann Demeulemeester, 22-year-old Danish covergirl Freja Beha Erichsen is the perfect “Tough Ballerina” in a mixture of this spring’s trends of soft and severe pieces. I love the ballet inspired shoes in this editorial and I also really like how the splashed powder on the shoes like real ballerinas.

Stylist: Nicola Formichetti
Cardigan and pants, JOHN VARVATOS. Ring, BJORG. Bracelet, SHAMBALLA JEWELS. Cross necklace, DAVID YURMAN. Body chains, BLISS LAU.
For an animated yet fashionable editorial, 15-year-old newcomer Emma Dumont, Brazilian Francisco Lachowski, and male model Paolo Anchisi are joined by the cast of Shrek in the 18th issue of VMAN this summer. Styled by Lady Gaga‘s stylist, Nicola Formichetti, Emma, Francisco, and Paolo are featured in designs in black and jeans for quite a chic and fun story shot by photographer Ellen von Unwerth at The Standard, New York. Although Dreamworks first approved on this project, they are not happy with the results due to the raciness surrounding the cartoon characters making them not kid-friendly. I personally love the way the characters and the models are interacting in this editorial, but it is definitely not for children.
