Fashion’s finest queer and crude artist AleXsandro Palombo‘s latest subjects are Chanel‘s head designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld and Vogue‘s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour in a strange baby scenario. I really enjoy these pieces because they are very interesting and definitely evoke a strong emotion.
Paying tribute to the legendary fashion designer Alexander McQueen, 36-year-old America’s Next Top Model host Tyra Banks pays her respects by creating a shoot inspired my McQueen‘s latest designs with a guest appearance by American Vogue editor-at-large Andre Leon Talley.
About the tribute, Tyra said, “I wanted to do a photo shoot decked out in H2T McQueen. McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community. I feel like a queen whenever I wear his clothes (especially the stunning blue dress I wore for this shoot)!… I would like to think that he would have loved these photos.”

This season’s exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, sponsored by Gap along with support by Condé Nast, is inspired by the American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity running from today, May 5th through August 15th focusing on how the modern American woman between the 1890’s and 1940’s has affected women today.
To kick off the exhibit, a gala was thrown at the Met this past Monday hosted by Oprah Winfrey, Executive Vice President of Global Design for Gap Patrick Robinson, and Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Anna Wintour for the main fundraiser event for the Costume Institute with this year raising almost twice as much money as last year! Here are some of the favorite looks from the evening:

One of my favorites is 24-year-old Russian Natasha Poly of Select Models who traveled to North Africa to the scorching hot desert for this sizzling cover shoot. Accompanied by a camel, Natasha is featured in a variety of prints, fringes, knits, sequins, and some luscious furs in designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci, Lanvin, Barbara Bui, and Marc Jacobs.

Showing off her slender, post-baby body, Gisele Bundchen is on the cover of the April 2010 issue of Vogue US. In the cover shoot, she shows off her baby bump as well as her new-born baby boy. Her post-baby body doesn’t even show any sign of a recent pregnancy! In an interview for the magazine, she talks about naming her son, staying in shape during her pregnancy, and reveals the challenges of mentoring young women of color in urban Boston.
