My First Visit to the Getty Villa

Enjoying the ocean breeze with a taste of historic art pieces, I visited the Getty Villa yesterday in Pacific Palisades with Jeff for the Aztec Pantheon exhibit that is running until July 5th. The weather was slightly overcast, but beautiful none the less. Being surrounded by some spectacular Roman architecture and sculptures was very relaxing and quite inspiring. Here are some of my favorites photos from the visit:

These kois were in the pond.

Jeffy go pee pee.

The front of the museum.

a Medusa Mosaic floor

Zeus

another Zeus

Pluto, god of the Underworld

Herakles

another Mosaic

a sarcophagus with scenes from the life of Achilles

This was the only photo snapped in the Aztec exhibit before security said, “NO PHOTOS!”

I think Olympic gold medal winners should still receive a gold crown like this.

This was the one thing you were allowed to touch.
